In this issue, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) says to Air Wave (Hal Jordan), "This is a first. Two superheroes with the same real name!" As suggested, with the exception of clones and alternate universe counterparts, this instance is one of the first times two superheroes shared the same civilian name.
Later in DC's publication history, across New Earth and Prime Earth, other hero parings have shared the same happenstance like Terra (Tara Markov) and Terra (Tara Markov II), Flash (Wally West) and Kid Flash (Wally West II), and retrospectively Black Canary (Dinah Lance) and Black Canary (Dinah Drake-Lance).
