Variant Cover 26C Issue shipped with three variant inter-locking covers illustrated by Alex Ross. This is the final issue of the series with writer Geoff Johns. Issue includes a four-age preview of Last Days of Animal Man, Part 1 "Deny". The JSA battled the Black Marvel Family in Justice Society of America issues #23-25. Issue includes a flashback to J.J. Thunder and Stargirl's battle against Solomon Grundy from JSA #30. The Needle is an old Golden Age villain who first appeared in Star-Spangled Comics #4. Courtney's best friend Mary Kramer was one of the regular supporting characters from the Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. title. This issue spotlights Stargirl. Stargirl was created by Geoff Johns and based upon his late sister who died in an airplane crash. Dentist Sheldon Fox is named after Sheldon Mayer and Gardner Fox.
