This story serves as unofficial conclusion (and crossover) by writer Steve Skeates of Aquaman #56 over at DC Comics. The title character's hand appears pushing the button that destroys the satellite boarded by the Slime-Thing in the beginning of the story, like he does in the end of the aforementioned comic. This issue's narrator makes the odd remark that the identity of that person is not of the reader's concern.
